JIM CROMARTY - It is not Death to Die
Hudson Taylor's life is one that should encourage Christians to step out in faith to fulfil the commands of God. His life's work was motivated by a love of God and a love of his fellow man. His heart's desire was to see Christ glorified in people coming to faith, particularly the Chinese.
Encouraged by another missionary, W. C. Burns, Hudson changed western dress and imperialistic attitudes for Chinese ways. He served, and still serves, as a model for mission work around the world.
He led an extraordinary life and Jim Cromarty has succeded in capturing the trill of his pioneering work. It is as if we too are able to step outside the comfortable boundaries most of us never come close to exploring beyond.
